READERS SAY: “LIKE WATCHING A GREAT MOVIE UNFOLD ... CRACKING ADVENTURE STORIES ... REMINISCENT OF C.S. LEWIS’ NARNIA BOOKS”
Tales of Hope began when an aged storyteller set out to entertain his great grandchildren with exciting stories that would strengthen their belief in God. Being an old man, he was from a time when stories often had strong central characters who believed in God—Alexei in The Brothers Karamazov, Bishop Myriel in Les Miserables, Abbé Faria in the Count of Monte Cristo—and he wanted his characters to be of he same mold.
As his listeners were younger, he wanted his characters to be younger, but as to the tales, he wanted them to retain their deeper meaning. And so his tales were told and set down in books, of which there are now four. Though they are all connected through a single storyteller, they can be read in any order. But if you’d like to read them in the order in which they were told, this is it: The Ruby Float, Theodora’s Children, Desert Gold and The Kingdom Of The Flowers. At present, he is telling a fifth story, which will be set down in another book, as soon as he is finished.
